Bringing blockchain to digital vouchers
Gift Sass
2023
Gift Sass, a SaaS platform, emerged with the vision to reshape traditional voucher management using blockchain technology and the convenience of digital inventory.
The project's core objective was to establish a secure and user-friendly ecosystem where both users and merchants could seamlessly create, purchase, and manage vouchers and collections.
The startup product had established architecture and blockchain-based mechanics. My role was to translate that model into a clear user experience.
A comparative look at established digital marketplaces helped identify familiar interaction patterns and conventions, providing a foundation for introducing users to the Gift Sass experience.

How main and supporting information are prioritised. -
Filtering
How large sets of items are narrowed. -
Object Relationships
How a collection relates to the individual assets within it. -
Transaction States
How ownership, availability and activity are communicated.
The established product architecture defined the relationships between collections, vouchers, and digital assets.
These relationships were translated into a clear, intuitive information architecture that made the product easier to navigate and understand.
The anatomy of components was outlined, focusing on hierarchy and crucial metadata. Elements were carefully considered to prioritise reusability.
Increasing recognition over recall in dense data sets.
The dashboard interface contains significantly more information than the customer-facing marketplace. To prioritise scanning, comparison and operational control, information was given different levels of visual emphasis according to its importance.
Collection imagery was used in filters to aid recognition at a glance, reducing reliance on text when scanning a large list of collections or vouchers.
